has anyone used these products??if so ........do you know what works best/fastest ?i know its not the healthy way to lose weight, but i only plan to be on it for a short time!

They work in very different ways. Xenical wont allow you to absorb fat at all, so if you decide you want to sneak in a chocolate or something naughty you're stomach and later on your bowels will let you know. So you have to be committed to eating healthily. Reductil is an appetite suppressant and contains a component to speed up your metabolism. It can cause insomnia and makes people pretty egdy but you can go for a long time with very little food. Depends how much you want/need to loose and your general health as reductil can cause adverse reactions including skin and heart rhythm problems. No quick fix unfortunately. See your doc and see if you are ok for either or if there is anything else for you

Come on, wear a panty liner?,cant you just eat and excersise a bit to loose weight? who would want to walk around with a pantyliner on just incase you .... yourself? Doesnt sound so healthy doing it this way!!. We would all love to loose a bit of weight me included, but never and i mean never would i take some medicine that has this effect on your body, what could the long term damages be?.

You are not meant to take if because you are eating fat. Its meant to make eating fat so unpleasant (ie. giving you diarrhoea) that you lose your appetite for it and learan to live without. All of these meds are helpful as a kick start i think, but if you want to lose the weight and more importantly keep it off, then its lifestyle change... and its worth it. If you really like the naughty things, then my recommendation is to eat what you want but exercise until its all off and then some.. you'll see how much exercise if required for some things and see that it is just not worth it... plus with exercise you will feel a million bucks and get protective over your own body adn wont shovel rubbish into it

I tried Reductil.
It worked immediatly - I lost my appetite but the side affects also kicked in (constipation, rapid heart rate, dry mouth, foul taste in mouth). After about 1 month the affect started to wear off and my appetite gradually returned. I mentioned this to the doctor and she suggested a stronger dosage - I didn't ever consider this. There was no way I was taking a stronger dose as the side affects were not worth the little weight that I did lose.
I returned to eating properly and exercising.

I tried both years ago, and I had better results with reductil 15mg. Lost 8 pounds in 5 weeks and continued to lose another 12 within 3 months. The side-effects were tolerable after the first 2 weeks.
Reductil needs a prescription if you buy from Mannings but you can go to your local dispensary and they would gladly sell without an RX. HK620 for a box of 28caps.
For me, it's a good way to kick-start weight-loss when after trying (3x/week cardio but, the food!!!) the results are not there. Once I've lost a couple of pounds, I'm better motivated to eat less.

I am currently taking phentermine, it is a prescription drug in other countries but you can buy here in the local pharmacies. Check it out..
It is an appetite suppressant and it seems similar to the drugs everyone mentioned above.

I bought it at a pharmacy right near the ladies market but my guess is you could get it anywhere. It was 1080 for 3 months which is the recommended usage time. So far, it is working well. This drug should be combined with exercise and a healthy eating plan and if you have any health problems you might not want to take it unless under a doctors supervision. Has anyone else tried this??

I was trying to buy Reductil 15mgs for a friend but they only had 10mgs at that time. The pharmacist recommended Phentermine and said it had the same effect.
A long time ago, I took Adifax--Phentermine and Fenfluramine combo, and lost a lot of weight in a short period of time. I was under the supervision of a doctor, but after 2 months, I developed mild hypertension so I was told to stop. Some time later, stocks were pulled off the shelves because the Phen-Fen combination caused pulmonary hypertension.

You can get the generic brand at Tai Wah as well. The reductil 10mg name brand is 28 caps for almost $600 and the generic stuff is 10 caps for $100, so 30 days is $300.

After reading this post, I went to a local dispensary near my office and asked for Reductil. They were more than happy to sell it to me without a scrip.
Have been taking 1 pill a day for 5 days and lost 3.5lbs without any effort on my part. It has supressed my appetite sufficiently so that I can make healthier food choices (ie having the salad instead of the burger.)
Will only take it for a little while as I only have another 10lbs to go.

Congratulations Vulvic. I walked into a Wan Chai chemist and asked for the same thing with no problem. It works well - I forget all about food, but am suffering from one of the common side affects - I can't sleep!

The only side affect so far is thirst, not so bad as it fores me to drink loads of water.
Not to bad with the sleep though. Have 6 month old baby so am usually tired out by bedtime.
Decided to start taking Reductil to shift the last few pounds of babyweight.

Ephedra is illegal in HK. You used to be able to buy ephedra based slimming tablets in the health shops here but after some high profile law suits in the US they banned it.
I did take some ephedra tablets several years back but stopped soon after as I found they made me incredibley anxious and I had heart palpitations with them. I don't have any of those symptoms wih Reductil.

Please everyone be careful with all of these meds (if you are taking them wihtout doctor's supervision) and make sure you have your blood pressure tested regularly. Reductil can spike some peoples blood pressure and also affect the liver, so if you are on it for over 3 months you really should get a blood test and make sure that you are still healthy inside. Best of luck for all the weight loss, i know it can make you feel wonderful but just make sure you are looking after yourselves in every way.

Has anyone tried Hoodia? I've started seeing that on the shelves at Watson's. I just can't seem to keep my appetite under control. I work out 3 times a week but I find myself hungry all the time. I eat sensibly too. Despite the exercise and healthy eating (although I do love my carbs) I find myself still tired.
