Need Advice

2 years ago my sister got married to a french guy and moved to france a year after thier marriage. Before they moved to france everything was fine after the move though things have gone rocky which has come a bit off a surprice for her and the rest of the family. He has turned out to be a bully (calling her uncultured, petty with the way she cleans the house etc,)and has quite a temper and and has taken her to live somewhere she can't find work because it is small town and pretty isolated. She has learned to communicate in french but far from being able to apply for job in french. She is unhappy. To keep long story short can anyone tell me if she decided to file for divorce in france can she ask for any financial compensation and how she can go about this. Please understand that this is not her plan at the moment but if things are not going to turn out for the better after she talks to him about their relationshp she'll like to know what her plan off action should be.

I doubt she will get much as they have been married such a short time and it doesn't sound as thought she has contributed much money wise to the marriage. If she has the internet she will be able to look up the details herself.
