recommend a clothing tailor in shenzen?

Hi there,

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a clothing tailor in Shenzen?

Not particularly for suits etc, but also for casual clothes (and do they copy clothes from magazines?).

We're heading across in a couple of weeks, and i have some things i wouldnt mind getting copied and made.

I had three suits and two dresses made at one place. The suits are good, I'm not 100% happy with the dresses but that's mainly my fault for the material I chose. I can't tell you the name of the shop because the receipt's in Chinese, but the shop number is 5011. A friend of mine had some stuff made at number 5118 and I think that was OK too. Yes, they will copy from magazines or clothes you already have. They will arrange for the items to be delivered to you in Hong Kong too.

I think getting copies is miles better than starting from scratch in Shenzhen. I liked Wan Dan for men's stuff.

Many of them do better with copies. My tailor is great with copies, but sometimes, from a picture, he has a tough time. He speaks no English and I wonder if he assistants REALLY get what I am saying...even with a picture.


I get all my favourite work trousers/shirts copied and he does an awesome job.

Ktnjr & triman - tailor was good, but I only had clothes copied from ones i already have - no dramas or problems. Altho the boyf had a couple of suits made and they turned out fine - pants were a bit tight first go round (we didnt return for any fittings, just had them sent straight to HKG once they were done), but the tailor fixed them up no charge once I called and told her the problem.

Didnt go to the one Tia recommened cause couldnt find the bugger!

Found a different one where the lady could speak english - let me know if you want her contact details.
