Out of curiosity, what makes a non-denominational priest a priest? If a priest is not affiliated with a church, then how and by whom is he ordained or confirmed or whatever? Is the term "non-denominational priest" a PC term for "self-appointed priest"? I know this is a little off topic but to me, the idea of a non-denominational priest sounds like an oxy-moron and a possible scam. For blessings, I'd think it's better to go with a denominated priest of any religion than a con-man no matter how well-intentioned he may be.

Thanks for your replies. Yes, waffle_hk, I just found that out as well... but I wonder if there is a solicitor who can give a blessing at a Chapel we have already chosen.. it's all getting a bit complicated!!

yeah, you're right Tidings2. I guess I'm looking for either a priest or a minister.. the minister concept might be new to hk though.
