a google search using "W32/Looked-AB XP" gets 3 pages of hits - Having never worked with your specific issue, can't tell you much more than that. Below are the search results link - which may reproduce for you if you enter it in your browser.

well, it's really annoyed. I just experienced such case one week ago. Here's my solution for your reference.

- update virus definition to the latest version. (I use McAfee Enterprise. If yours' same to mine, just go to http://www.mcafee.com/apps/downloads/security_updates/dat.asp

download its latest version)

- reboot the computer in safe mode and run Mcafee to scan all drivers.

- clean up register key words, such as download manager, soft, rundl132.exe

- go to ms-dos

- delete c:\winnt\temp\*.*/f/q/a/s

- delete c:\_desktop.ini/f/q/a/s

- delete c:\winnt\richdll.dll

- delete c:\winnt\uninstall\rundl132.exe/f/q/a/s

Hope it helps you.

good luck!

While I did not read it in detail, it seemed to me that instructions in the first hit on the search I referenced above were a lot simpler (not that Jewelfly's instructions are all that difficult). Probably more important is effectiveness - and that is really hard to judge without going through the steps.
