This is a very interesting article... It is quite long, so I won't post it all here, but the first paragraph is below.

"Stressed-Out American Women Have No Time for Sleep"

"WASHINGTON, March 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- More than half of American women (60%) say they only get a good night's sleep a few nights per week or less and 67% say they frequently experience a sleep problem. Additionally, 43% say that daytime sleepiness interferes with their daily activities, according to a new poll released today by the National Sleep Foundation (NSF). Women's lack of sleep affects virtually every aspect of their time-pressed lives, leaving them late for work, stressed out, too tired for sex and little time for their friends......

...

The Sleep in America poll also finds that a lack of a good night's sleep is interfering with a woman's quality of life. Women report that they often choose to put healthy activities last on their priority list as they struggle through their daily lives..."

I did this and reduce to going 1x in the middle of the nite. Also, no "cooling" drinks (eg. barley, crysanthemum) as I tend to go more often once I drink them.

my father told me (he's an obgyn and is actually a urogyn specialist - the type that specializes in tightening those loose muscles after too many babies so you don't leak like a baby) and told me that the urge to pee in the middle of the night signals that you are lighter sleeper - not that your body can't hold it. He gives the example that if you were to take a sleeping pill, chances are, you would sleep through the night and still not pee in your bed.

you are not sleeping well so you are not in deep sleep so your body signals to wake up and pee -even though you dont' REALLY have to...

which means - you're a mom, you're tired, over exhausted, and of course you can't sleep well. you're worried, stressed, thinking about the next day - it's no wonder that you get up to pee...
