Help: About to sign tenancy agreement

I'm about to sign a tenancy agreement but the landlord wants me to sign a 2 year "flexible" contract whereby both tenant and landlord can give 1 month notice to terminate contract at anytime. I've never heard of 2 year "flexible". I've only experienced 1 year fixed + 1 year optional or 2 year fixed. The landlord also mentioned he would like to sell the flat at anytime when the market is right. Does this follow the Landlord & Tenant Ordinance? Is this legal???

Additional Comment: Correct me if I'm wrong, there has to be a fixed period regardless??

see for yourself:

http://www.rvd.gov.hk/en/doc/SummaryGuide-e.pdf

terms of tenancies are set by agreement between the parties, not by statute.

Next time try googling "landlord tenant hk" or something, like I did. HERE: www.google.com
