Visa/Work Permit advice

ORIGINAL POST

I arrived in Beijing about a month ago with my wife. We both had tourist double entry visas.

Since then i have secured a permanent job and a work visa. My wife's tourist visa is due to expire at the beginning of April.

Is it possible for her to be a dependent on my work visa? Or does anyone know what options she has for obtaining a long-term visa whilst i'm working?

Thanks

Your wife should be eligible for a dependent visa on proving the relationship....however, if she is from mainland China you will have serious difficulties.

We are well equipped to assist in these matters and charge an initial interview fee of HK$2,500 which we would apply to the dependent visa application should you appoint us to proceed.

It is feasible. you can submit your application for your wife from Administration of Exit and Entry of Beijing Public Security Bureau.

Associates, why would a Mainland Chinese person need a visa to live in Beijing?

Yes, it is easy to get your wife a dependant visa. The trick, however, is you need your original marriage certificate and they generally require it to be authenticated in the Chinese consulate serving the country the license was issued in.
