My son will be having his 6th b'day party soon. It seems to be common to give a goodie bag to the guests.
Does anybody have any ideas on what items to put in the goodie bag without spending alot of money?

I found Stanley market a good place for this sort of stuff. they have a variety of cheap little sort of things to put in a giftbag. (stickers, figurines, random balls.)
However, I have found that sometimes one nicer thing (a box of crayons) is actually more useful and cheaper than buying a few smaller more "useless" things. Goodie bags that I like aren't filled with candy, have something simple inside so it's not overwhelming, and have a use beyond the 15 minutes post party.

I would like to give more useful things like something educational, but can't think of anything. I've found some educational puzzle games, but they are quite pricey considering there will be around 20 kids at the party.

instead of a bag
how about a single gift wrapped?
something along the lines of an educational puzzle but less expensive.
Toys Club in Central used to have a nice selection of books that wouldnt' break your bank.

The books sounds like a good idea! I could add some stickers & stationery items as well. Thanks alot hkchoichoi!

Totally agree. One "good" item is better. Often there is a younger sibling at home who will ultimately get into the unsuitable toys in a goodie bag. Previous items I've given: a book, a beach ball, a bag of beach toys, bubble kit, crayons. Often these items are on sale at Toys-R-Us. Wrapped up, they are a "big" gift and given with a balloon the kids are generally pretty excited to receive it.

Hi
I have a business which produces unique party favour bags, individual, hand designed to a theme or idea. I was fed up with all the usual rubbishy favour bags so decided to create my own after constantly being asked to do them for friends kids parties. I may be able to tailor something fun and useful within your budget if you would like to send me a PM we can chat about it.
