Does anybody know whether you can hire a Sampan from Aberdeen to get to Mui Wo, rather then take the usual ferry from central ?

stoep is not in mui wo, its still a good taxi ride away on lower cheung sha beach
i've seen junks moor some way off from the beach and then speedboat their guests to the restaurant.

Or alternatively you can take the ferry from Central to Mui Wo, then get a cab from there to Cheung Sha.

We have had our speedboat or small row boat once go right up to the beach but it is precarious transfer and we usually get into swimmers first, mobile phones, sisters in law and cameras have all been lost on various transfers when the waves catch people unawares but fine if you are in swimmers with bags passed to tall husbands. The best time was when the life guards transferred us all back and did his baywatch impersonation up giving the kids a thrilling ride around the bay.
