moving to HK

just wondering what the difference in the cost of day to day living bills ect in HK compared to Oz

It's hard to compare as some costs are higher, some are lower depending on your 'lifestyle choices'. I have budgeted accordingly and am living comfortably however have 2 household incomes. Generally your wage is higher than in Australia depending on your industry and rent is a lot more expensive but can be more reasonable if you are prepared to live away from the city centre ie, Tung Chung or New Territories for example. I find our land line is more exp than in OZ but my mobile is cheaper. Gas I think is similar to say Melbourne but Electricity over Summer is v exxy with the air-conditioner on pretty much constantly. This is a bit vague but then again you have not provided any specifics so feel free to reply with more detail if you require more information.
