I am having great troubles with unstable connection,disconnections, picture and sound quality with PCCW/NowTV guys. Any other recomendation?

call PCCW to replace the control box - that should solve the problem, shouldn't it?

They replaced both decoder and modem first time. Then I called again because the whole screen would flash rapidly on(colour) and off (b&w) - for up to 2 minutes at a time , no sound. This time they replaced the modem only, but now in addition to flashing screen I am also getting diconnections and pixelated picture.
I am going to change the provider - looking for a recommendation.

if you're not bound by a contract with PCCW, switching to another provider is definitely an option.

besides PCCW/NowTV, CableTV is you only other option here in hongkong. i have been using both i-cable and cabletv and haven't had much trouble with connection.

For cabletv, not much trouble with connection - Yes, but the programs suck -- especially the sports ones (NOW has got exclusive rights to StarSports, ESPN -- n soon, EPL) -- so it is not a good substitute for NOW.
On a sidenote, is there promotion for i-cable if i am a cabletv subscriber? How much will it cost? and what does it mean for installation -- does anyone have to come up to reinstall anything again? or i just need a modem or something?

Last feedback is a bit dated now...
I'm about to sign up for PCCW mainly for internet service. Any feedback on PCCW in terms of it's quality and value for money? Any better alternatives?
