I have been offered a position in HK and are currently trying to determine a suitable package with my employer - my accomodation and relocation costs will be paid in full.
The questions l have are as follows;
Rough idea of the cost of living in HK versus Australia ie bills, food, leisure activities for an active family - we don't live a lavish lifestyle in terms of spending currently.
Current tax rate in HK ie it 10% or 15% and does it apply from the first dollar you earn.
Best areas to live in HK for a family with 3 young kids - employer will pay a generous rental
Is it best to go with a fully furnished apartment and are they freely available?
English speaking schools - preschool/primary school - do they exist and are they nearby suitable housing
With 3 children under 3 we would be looking to get some home help - are there reputable agencies which you can go through.
We are prepared to move to HK but after 2 or 3 years we would like to go back to Australia with some serious $$$'s in our pockets.
Any advice/insight would be much appreciated plus any traps pitfalls that have caught fellow expats out in the past would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
