what age is the best for second birth?

I am currently a mother of a 2 years old kid and planning to have a second kid a few years later. However, I would like to have a second child after age 35. I heard that pregnancy after 35 years old can be really dangerous and a lot of tests need to be done. I wonder if this also applies to second birth. Please help!

really dangerous?

well - the risks increase - but it's not like they SUDDENLY increase. The older you are, the more risky is pregnancy - for both you and the baby. After 35 is when there are more TESTS done - in order to watch out for those risks that could happen (downs being one of them)

if you are in good health you can stave off some of the risks. If you had a relatively easy first pregnancy and your health was good throughout (no preeclampsia, gestational diabetes whatnot) it is a decent indication that you can have a healthy second. But again the risks increase.

however, that being said, there will probably be a ton of posters on here who had babies after 35. I am a mom of 2 and I am trying for my 3rd - and I'm already 35.
