hi,
Considering heading to Yangshou at easter time, but unsure what to expect in terms of weather and crowds. Anyone been there during this time of year can share some insight ?

There is always a crowd in Yangshuo, mostly day trippers on the Li River cruises from 10 am to late evening. That should not deter you from going.
You can hire a bicycle and cycle to the villages or alternatively, take the local buses to Xingping or Yangdi. There is a trek between both villages which criss-cross the Li River several times, takes 4-5 hours at least but well worth it.
There are frequent express buses from the Guilin bus station, takes an hour for the journey.
