Stroller Clips- Advisable?

I am thinking of buying another umbrella stroller (we have ONE), and the stroller clips from Bumps to Babes... for my 3 year old and 1 year old as we are going to Japan for Easter.


Is it a good idea? Do any parents who have it find it useful? Or is it too much to bring and hard to use when travelling? My 3 year old walks most of the time, but when travelling, she does like to nap if we are out for a long time.

My 1 year old is walking and running, and willing to sit, and he's TOO heavy for me to hold him or with a baby carrier.


Also, does anyone know where ELSE I can find the stroller clips besides B2Bs?

I prefer using the clips with two single strollers over our double stroller, although my wife may disagree for day-to-day use. We have three kids in strollers, and three single strollers are much easier for travel rather than a double and single.


Our three year old also walks most of the time, but when you're travelling with luggage, carry-ons, diaper bags etc., the extra stroller is a must for us as we can not only keep the children contained and safe, but also load the small bags into the bottom of the strollers. Sure beats carrying a tired child while trying to deal with all the bags, and the clips allow one person to take care of two strollers.


The clips do require some strength to firmly close, and can occasionally pop loose requiring you to close them firmly again. Also took a few minutes to figure out how to open and close the clips quickly. Make sure you can undo the clips before you travel as you will need to unfasten the clips at airport security in order to put the strollers through xray, and again at the door to the plane.

I have them too (Prince Lionheart brand) I agree with everything tmk said above - they are a bit fiddly at first, but there are just three that you have to put on and take off at any given time.


The manufacturer says that they should be used with the two SAME strollers, and this is true. Because they have to line up and match up well to be efficient the strollers must be alike.

I find them only useful in wide open areas too like the airport, Ocean Park, etc. Not great as a substitute for a double as it results in a very wide stroller.
