Hi all,
I want to take up ESPN channel just for world cup cricket but am told that i have to sign a yearly contract.
Can anybody who is already a subscriber tell me if the channel is worth signing up for a year? What kind of matches/ sports are broadcasted round the year?

If you are a big cricket fan it is a must. Generally has ALL the matches on around the world, Ashes, Australian home series etc.. India matches...
Its $168 for 12 months but when you convert it to your home currency its nothing really and especially at the moment is good value.
At $2K a year I think of how many times I would go to the pub to watch matches and multiply it by how much I spend a time. The $2K is gone in about 5 trips :)

And if it's an issue for you I'd make 100% certain that they can actually give you access well before the WC ends. They wouldn't normally make any such guarantees but if you make it a condition of your sign-up (like I said - if that's important to you - and it sounds like it is) then you might be able to get out of it if they don't deliver. They can be rogues at times of taking your money and then being a bit slow on their side of the deal.
