Really professional pedicure

I need to have a good pedicure done – in detail, not one of the rudimentary and perfunctory ones, where they don’t really get rid of the hard skin and hard cuticles after a long winter.

Try Mr. So. at the Mandarin Oriental, he does a shanghainese pedicure, and removes properly all the hard skin, etc, and does the toenails. Its expensive, at HK$650 but if you want it done correct he is the best, book in advance he is always very busy. good luck

Spa bpz do a fantastic job too. I think the one you're looking for is called a 'footcare pedicure.' It's great they scrub, get rid of all dead skin, clean, shape, file, paint the toenails, and put your feet in a water massager. It's luxurious but affordable. Their number is 25241272

You could also try Phoebe at Ellespa in Repusle Bay - she's the best!

The resident nail technician at Aveda Day Spa in Central. She does an excellent Shanghainese-style mani and pedi for HKD530, plus nail polish. Say good-bye to calluses, in-growns and rough heels! I personally think she's a little more affordable than Mr. To at the Mandarin who goes at your feet with his surgical scalpels. Hahahaha...

Hong Kong Foot Care Centre on Queen's Road, Luk Yue Bldg, 7th floor (opposite Melbourne Plaza). Phone number is 22349433. 460 for complete chiropody treatmenet -- but they don't varnish. Depending on where you are, heard they do very good pedicures (with varnish) at Sunny Beauty Salon in Chung Hom Kok.
