i need to take a flight of stairs to get to my walk-up apartment every day that get rather slippery when wet. what can i do to make them anti-slip? any DIY mats or tapes that i can use? or who can i call to get them professionally treated? thanks.

local hardware shops may sell grip tape that has an adhesive backing or if not you could try some boating accessory places

japan home centre has anti-slip tapes for sticking on your shower floor

thanks for the replies. would these shower stickers be durable enough for concrete outdoor stairs?

Has anyone successfully removed anti-slip tape from a marble surface? Reason I ask is when it's been raining I'd really like to avoid going a*se-over-t*t on the shiny marble outdoor pathway to my front door and the landlord will go nuts if I do something permanent to it. (She evidently didn't consider it stupid to use slippery indoor flooring - may have been something to do with costs?) I'm currently using plastic matting alternatives and they're all so ugly, though they're better than visitors or me cracking our heads open I suppose.
