Does anyone know of a place on the Island that sells/makes wooden toy chests? A friend mentioned a place on Queens Rd East that makes toy boxes to order but she didn't know the name.

Try the furniture shops in Horizon Plaza. I think Indigo have toy chests, but I'm sure there are some nice 'antique' type chests in places like Tequila Kola or Shambala.

if you don't mind something a bit cutesy, eugene baby club in central have some. the hinges are very well sprung, so no slamming down on little hands.

My guess is that your friend was referring to a store called "Art Deco." It is on Queens Rd East and does made to order furniture etc.
