I am a new mother to an 18 month old. Would like to put together some items for baby when she is sick or has a medical problem (minor without seeing the Doctor)

As for a thermometor, which is best, brand and one for ear?

Some things I think of here in HK (items are different from home)

- bandaids and ointments

- thermometor

anything to do with fever, coughs???

braun's ear thermometer

you can get over the counter meds for toddlers. my advice is to check with your kid's doctor for recommendations.

All homes should have a first aid kit and they are not difficult to put together. If you would like information of ones available at the hospital please feel free to contact Debbie, our Health Education Manager on 2849 0357.

I also had a little tube of dental adhesive, came in very handy when my oldest fell and split his lip.

Sorry, baby is 18 months old, but is teething now (only has 4 teeth). Another is coming in since yesterday and she is drooling and cranky

Our baby is almost 15 months, and only has 4 teeth (which he got at 9 months). Amazingly he does a lot of eating with just 4 teeth!

We use Hylands Teething tablets and gel, it is homeopathic.
