Ive been using Goldwell Haircolour after getting my haircoloured professionally at Esprit the first time ,but feel it doesnt last very long, when I do at home myself ,just a week maybe then I can see all grey hair .

I use a shampoo for coloured hair so wonder what is the problem and how I can rectify it ,as its driving me crazy looking grey just after a week

Thanks in advance for all your valuable tips ,suggestions ,advice

I have always foudn Goldwell to be quite transucent and not great for covering grey hair but for it to only last a week there must be something either wrong with the color or the aplication. Now i asume you are using the permeninet color as the semi color will not cover grey. As long as you color selection is correct for you hair and you follow the instuctions it shoud give you some coverage for 3-4 weeks.

Thanks for a prompt reply ,yes it is permanent Topchic colour

The hydrogen peroxide/cream developer is 6% vol one is that too low for colour not lasting

Which brand is the best for long lasting results

I do wash my hair daily

Thanks

4G, no its not too low at all, if anything it may be too strong. The color needs to be on for 30 mins to or sometimes up to 45 if no ozone or external heat us used. The thing with covering white is that you want to inject pigment into the hair not lift it. 6% will still lift depending on what the base color is so you may even be better off using 4% or even mixing your 6% with water to dilute it. For grey coverage i dont think you can beat Wella. They have good solid pigments that provide good coverage on white hair. Hope that helps.

Hi Douglas,

Just wanted to say, I went and had my haircut for the first time at your salon with Ivy and she was fantastic!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY, I have found someone who listens and ask questions and can cut hair! I've lived here for 4 years and have tried all the salons around town and wish I'd been to Phillip George in the beginning! Will def be recommending PG to all my friends.

Although it's expensive, professional colouring is best for me. I have some non-pigmented hair and have it dyed to my natural hair colour. Ok my hair does take colour well, but it lasts; I only have to have the regrowth touched up every few weeks.
