Cracked WIndscreen

ORIGINAL POST

I have a crack on my windscreen, right at the bottom in the shape of a half U and i am wondering whether it is ok to continue driving with it like this (legally) or whether i'll nicked for driving with a cracked windscreen?

Have tried to search the HK Police website and google but can find nothing that says illegal.

Also have checked with manufacturers of car and they say $3000.00 without fitting for new one!

Go to a local garage, if it is not bad they might be able to 'fill' it for you without replacing the whole thing.

If not, get them to quote a replacement with installation, might be cheaper than from the manufacturer.

Anyone got any recommendations for a good garage that will fit a windscreen at a good price and won't rip me off (ideally Kowllon or New Territories).

I'ce just checked my insurance and apparently i can claim for new windscrenn and it won't affect my no claims.

Thanks for the push 190K, i didn't bother checking my insurance initially because i assumed my NCB would be affected. Thanks again.
