A part of my head has no hair, about the size of a one dollar coin :( i researched on the internet that massaging that area with jojoba oil or aloe vera will do the trick ..... any advise? (to fasten its growth)

Stress, change of lifestyle and other factors are largely to blame, surely you read that info in the internet.
You know which one is to blame for the present hair condition, try to address that issue.
My sister had it, it grew back but it took sometime...
Or visit a medical hair expert, it maybe something else.

thanks....it's actually my brother who has it. He's just shy to ask anyone and all he does is search for answers on the internet. He even doesn't want to go and have a haircut because he's scared of being laughed at.

thong, its actually quite common and your brother should not worry about being laughed at as it wont happen. I have found many students and even executives to suffer from the same thing mostly due to extreme stress at some point. The good news is that the hair will grow back and it will start from the first hair that fell. A healthy lifestyle, diet and less stress is what will help. I know it can be scary but tell him not to worry as it is only a short term problem.

I had exactly the same problem - a small circular patch. It is not the oil that makes the hair grow back - it is the massage: stimulating the area encourages the hair to grow again. My patch grew back normally, and I have never had another one since.
