Can you run an internet program on your laptop and watch it on a television or projector screen?

Im thinking of subscribing to a website that would allow me to watch international sports on my computer that aren't available in HK. Would be great if i could then play it on my t.v. or perhaps an even bigger screen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your TV can take a VGA cable, then the picture is excellent and you need a sound transfer cable.
