Moving to HK end of April (employment and salary respectable).
What banking advice can you give me?
I will want the usual credit card and internet banking services (I will want to send money to my account abroad regularly).
Easy to talk to, good/secure internet banking, ATM & credit card are all important features.
Are credit cards free in HK (I mean, no yearly fees)?
Thx

Superb info. Thx for your help. If you wish to transfer (regularly) a sum of money to a different bank in Europe (ie not to HSBC), what will they charge on the HSBC HK side of this transaction?
Thx

HSBC matches all your criteria. =) I am using HSBC and their internet bank is pretty good upon others.

I'd also say HSBC. Other banks might have better deals in terms of interest rates/fees, but tend to be reluctant to give credit cards etc. to expats who are not permanent HK residents.

HSBC has by far the most cash points in Hong Kong and around the region so when you need to take out cash you dont have to pay fees using other banks cash points to access your account. They are the only bank that i can think of that has branches in most cities around the region.
HSBCs web site is also very good if you bank online
