Teaching Phonics

ORIGINAL POST

I am trying to teach my LO the 26 phonic sounds of the alphabet. I can't remember all of them (phonics). Can anyone tell me how is the letter D pronounced? I thought it was supposed to be D (sounds like the word dirt) but when I listen to the letterland CD I get the sound D as in like the word dip.

I don't want to do any courses now as my LO is only 15mths so any sources like CDs or DVDs that can just teach the basic phonic sounds.

I bought the Leapfrong Letter Factory DVD, and my daughter loved it. She learned all the sounds in a couple of weeks. Although she was 3 when we started. But I think that at 15 mths, your LO will have fun watching/learning from it.

Letterfrog Letter factory is great. My son loved it. But I am not sure whether they have it in Hong Kong. I ordered mine online.
