Hi
My daughter will be sitting the K1 french school interview in a few days. She's just over 2, probably one of the youngest ones in her year group. Does anyone have 1st hand experience of what is going on behind the closed doors (school says parents are not allowed in the room) ? I have an idea of what kind of questions might be asked, it's more the setting I am wondering about and tempo (sit & fire questions?) or whether the teacher taking time to make the child feel comfortable ? Any info is welcome ! Thanks.

Hi TLM, how did it go? My 2.5 year old went yesterday and loved her 15 minutes away from us!

Hi miyazaki,
Is your little one accepted? Was it hard?
How long ago did you apply? I heard they have a very long waiting list.

Hi there, no idea yet. Fingers crossed for the next few days. We applied in Jan 2005 and LO has a French passport (born in France) and I understand that allows some priority though not sure on it. The PS in Sheung Wan is lovely, and I met with the teachers and am extremely impressed. Seems like a great school.
How about you?

tlm, when is your daughter born ?
My daughter is born in january 2005, and they told me she cannot join for september 2007, as only kids born no later than 31 Dec. 2004 can be admitted to K1 in 2007.

We went through the rounds of interviews at schools! Not to worry, they read and play. Really just making sure they can communicate and separate. A bit silly at age 2.

Hello, are you all referring to the french stream? 2 years seems to be a bit young.
