cat p** smell on carpet

Hi

My cat has peed on my carpet. Can't get smell out so she keeps returning to pee. Apart from pulling up carpet does anyone know of a home remedy to rid the carpet of the smell that seems soooooo attractive to my cat.

baking soda, sprinkle some on the area and let it soak in for a good while.

use a damp cloth to sponge it up afterwards.

maybe you can spray some diluted lemon juice on the area afterwards as cats seem to hate the smell

Thanks everyone

tried the eucalyptus today, I think I might have overdone it as our eyes are all watering, so yes the urine smell is masked and the cat is keeping her distance......so far.
