Hi girls,
Few months ago, I got invited to a wedding and now it's only 2 weeks away and I still can't figure out what to wear!!! The thing is, the motiff is gold and I have a part to play for the ceremony which will be in Shatin btw. I'm not really fund of the color (too heavy a color for a young person I think)
Anyway, may I ask for anyone's suggestions of what to wear since I couldn't picture myself in Gold? I'm thinking of a black ang gold combination but I have yet to find "the dress". Any suggestion where I can find a pretty one that suites the occassion?
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Before you buy white find out what the bride will be wearing. In the UK (can't speak for anywhere else) white would be considered a faux pas as it is the colour traditionally for only the bride anyone else would be seen trying to upstage her. Just something to consider.....

Pumpkin, I'm going to Pedder Building to see if I can find anything. Thanks for the suggestion. Actually I was also thinking of what Clan pointed out (white being faux pas...)but I don't know.

There is gold, and there is gold....perhaps it is too late now, but a lovely silk chiffon in a light champagne; a dress with the hint of a gold shimmer to it would not be too "heavy" for a young person. Perhaps you are thinking of a gold lame ala Marilyn Monroe...which wouldn't have been all that appropriate for a wedding anyway. Failing this, you can always accessorize with gold and have a simple dress appropriate to the time of day and season. Let us know what you ended up with.

i think u dont hv to find something really gold, light champagne is quite nice. Try Golden Plaza located in Prince Edward. There are many shops with dresses for wedding there. i found my bridemaid dress there. you can rent a dress at around $400 and they can alter it for you. i rent mine at $380.
