You can try the new animal park that opened 2 weeks ago in Wanchai/Causeway bay. It's opposite the SPCA, on what used to be a boat loading dock (Where the Korean farmers demonstrated during the WTO, if you remember that). There is an open air carpark next to SPCA, one in the sports complex or a few in the Sun Hung Kai and China Centre buildings. Happy Partying...

There is also the dog park at the peak which is just fantastic. Beautiful views, usually a few friendly dogs and their owners on any given day and a walk along a creek. You drive past the peak tower and up onto mt austin rd untll the end. You will come to the car park and there are three levels of open grass. its wonderful.

Totally agree with adelaide. The park at the top of Mt Austin Rd (not the playground halfway up) is great and they have signs about where you can take dogs. Plenty of grass to throw a ball and run around. Even relatively quiet on a Sunday.

You can also park at the Peak and walk up Mt Austin Rd - great exercise for you and dog as quite a steep climb (I wouldn't recommend it for a dog who isn't fit)

also, aberdeen country park, just off stubbs road, onto mount cameron rd. Parking available, take main entry into park, then a left turn onto Lady Clement Trail, follow that to a picnic area, some clean deep natural pools if your dog likes to swim.

Not true MisterD, know of at least 2 people who have already been fined in the past month on Cheung Sha beach alone, even the little one between upper and lower that doesn't appear to be gazetted. Have received a verbal warning myself.
