Illegal System DLL Relocation

ORIGINAL POST

A friend recently borrowed my laptop for a few days and something abnormal started to happen to my notebook.

Every time I start the computer, a dialog box appears, containing:

"The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occured because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL."

Is there a way that I can solve this problem without having to bring my laptop to a computer shop? Please help. Thanks!

YOu can do a google search on "hhcrtl.ocx reserved" and look at the first page of similar error messages and decide on what solution suits you best. There were 67 hits.
