Hi readers!
We have recently moved to HK and I am facing trouble securing admission for my daughter who is 2.8yrs old.
We are on the waiting list for ESF, Woodland and Victoria. Should we continue to wait? Need advise and some alternative recommendations for good kindergartens.
Any suggestions for dance, drawing or music classes in Kennedy Town?
Would really appreciate your responses.
Thanks!

There's a new school very close to Kennedy Town. We drove by but didn't get a chance to go in for a visit. I think the website is www.casadeibambini.com.hk, a new Montessori school. You might want to have a look there.

Yes, please do share with us after your visit. I too have a daughter 2.8 years old and although she got accepted at Victoria and will probably attend there in August, I'm still hoping to get her in a Montessori school, in a few years from now when she's "old" enough to commute by school bus.

Hi all,
I visited Starters today and I found it to be okay. As I have run out of choices, Starters seems to be the only place that will accept my daughter before she is 3, i.e 2.8 yrs.
I also dropped into the International Montossori school that is very close to Starters. Will be going for a visit next week.
However as I live in Kennedy Town, Wanchai is quite a distance. It took about 45 mins by bus. They do have a school bus service but at the moment the distance seems to be a problem.
Also all schools seem frightfully expensive - casa de bambini has a non refundable deposit of $1000! and 10,000pm for a full day session. Didn't really think education would be that expensive when we moved to HK that too for a 3 yr old!
An asia expat visitor, 'cri' has recommended a new school in Kennedy Town called The Harbour school. I will be visiting that soon.
If anyone has any other ideas or recommendations for quality afforable kindergartens around Pokfulam/Kennedy Town, pls do write in.
Thanks

Hi AKHK, are you specifically looking for full day sessions as the Woodlands on Caine Road would be closer to you and thet are quite flexible in the afternoons?

Hi burstbees. I am not at the moment looking for full day sessions, but eventually I do want to go back to working - atleast part time if not full time, so if the school also offers full day session will be great in the long run.
I have visited Woodland in Pokfulam and there is a waiting list for the morning session.
Have no idea about distances yet, but I thought that the Pokfulam preschool would be closer than Caine road from Kennedy Town?
Thanks
