Online campuses

Anyone who has earned a bachelor's or master's degree via online campuses/courses? Are they reliable? Can anyone recommend a good online campus for someone who's interested in obtaining a second degree in IT or maybe journalism?

There are many universities all over the world that teach courses via distance education. Your first step may be to narrow things down a bit. For example, if you do a course through a university located in your home country (assuming that this is not HK), you are likely to be classified as a local student as opposed to an international student, so the fees are much less.


As far as reliability goes, just make sure that the places you are looking at are 'real' universities, ie properly accredited etc. Many of the places that teach DE also have physical campuses where face-to-face students go. Its not hard to tell if a place is a real university as opposed to some dodgy pay-for-a-degree place.


Finally, it will probably make a difference as to whether you want to study IT or journalism, as different universities tend to have strengths in different areas.
