Will be taking to banquets and we've bought a formal black suit for him (something like a cute baby tuxedo) but we can't find matching shoes in black. Anyone knows where I can find something like that? My baby will be seven/ eight months old by then.

Hi Dizzydog - I exactly bought the suit in Nicholas & Bears, but they said they didn't have black leather shoes.... Maybe I should check with them again. When did you buy yours?

young kids don't actually "need" shoes - I think Foot Stop on Pottinger has soft "ballet" type shoes which are suitable and appropriate for kids when they are beginning to learn to walk. Can't remember if they have a formal pair, but I do remember some black ones.

Do a search for soft baby shoes online - comapnies like Robeez.com should come up which have a big range and do mail order.
I just did a quick search and found these black sandals but in general it seems black isn't that popular for babies

Or you could use this site where you can design your own

Have a look in B2B though too as they have some soft shoes

Thank you all. I'll take a look at those you suggested. Maybe I'll check out Footstop first before ordering online.

Nicher,
I bought them in winter, so that's probably why.
I was at a wedding where a little baby was wearing white trainers with his tux. That looked kinda cool and cute too.
in the SCMP today, they had a section on cute (desginer) baby shoes, but the boy (trainers and booties) ones were $790+.

Just dropped by Footstop during lunch time today. They seem to have lovely booties - not in black though, but very dark navy blue. Will take baby and the suit there to try over the weekend :)
bbr - We've got a pair of Jack & Lily from a friend. They are very nice shoes for baby.
