Has anyone tried anything that works to keep mosquitoes out of a garden? Such as the CO2 traps?
We have a nice garden but there are lots of mosquitoes and if we don't cover ourselves with mossie repellant we get eaten alive every time we are in our garden...(already burning coils and citronella candles..)
Heard there is a plant which can keep mossies away...anyone know which plant is it?
Thanks.

The plant is called catnip.
Contact Herboland on Lamma Island - the first organic herb farm in HK. They may have some on sale and can definitely give you tips and advice on how to take care of catnip.

The plant that will keep mozzies away is citronella. I have it on my patio in pots. It could easily be used in landscaping. It is safe to animals and children. It has a nice aroma.

Thanks, I know about Citronella, but they don't keep the mosquitos away though - you can rub the leaves and it will give off a scent that will deter for a while - but you would need to keep doing this. So it's the same effect as burning th citronella candle (which is easier); both not very effective.

WE have a C02 machine and it certainly seems to do the job quite well. Got it from Ap LEi Chau (maybe love that lifestyle). Think it cost about 4k.
