I just bought a generic USB webcam but couldn't make it work because the computer is looking for a software. Thing is there was no software given to me when I bought it.

Any idea on how I can run it? Any sites where I can download free software?

or just buy a brand name (logitech or microsoft) and avoid these problems altogether.
