I second Shui Hu Ju, the food and atmostphere are superb, and I think superior to Water Margin.
If you have a group of 6-12, they will often let you reserve the sectioned-off table upstairs, which is decorated similarly to downstairs but offers you a much more intimate setting.
For a group of 6 I would expect to spend $600-$800 per person, but must confess to spending as much as $1,500 in the past... depends how much lychee wine you drink and whether you can resist ordering a second order of the crispy mutton and lamb shanks.
One of their signature dishes is deep-fried chicken with Sichuan chillies - flaming hot, stunning presentation - always a big hit, particularly with out-of-towners.
Hope you have a great time, I'm hungry thinking about it!
