Have just broken my gas permeable contact lens. Can any one recommend an English-speaking optician that could do an eye test and replace the lens? One in central or west of the island would be great.

I go to lens crafters in queensway plaza - but they are everywhere. A particularly good technician is in the central branch, on queens rd east opposite d'agulari st. He got my very complicated prescription very right first time i went to visit him. Same with the queensway branch. Perfect English. I am sure they do custom made lenses if thats what you have, but i highly recommend disposables due to all the dirt and pollution in hk - less risk of infection!

What about the chain shop called "Lenscrafter",sure they have in Central.
Call 1081 tel enquiry to in find out. Being in Central, bet that must speak some English.
By they way, I will say all the opticial shop has eye test service, otherwise they will be out of business.
