Want to bring my girl into the clubhouse chlorinated pool and clearwater bay beach. She has severe eczema and her skin is extremely sensitive. Good or bad idea?
Read somewhere that it is ok so long as I douse her in thick layer of moisturiser before hitting the water. What do you think? Any preparatory steps I should take?
Can one be allergic to sand??????

chlorine aggravates eczema. don't know about the moisturizing before, but definitely wash off as soon as she's out of the pool. also, try not to keep her in to the point that her fingers get wrinkly; that can aggravate eczema in even 'regular' water. Happy swimming.

Sea water is very good against eczema and the doctor always told me to try to spend time in the sea whenever I could.... Polluted or not! Big wave bay and South bay are my fav spots. I would as well put Aquaphor cream on my skin before going in the pool ( or any type of vaseline)so the chlorine wouldnt attck my skin. Pool wate ris not good, but then the South China Pool water is actually not bad. Depends how much chlorine is used. I would also advice for a shower straight after with Physiogel and then apply a cream straight after. Good luck!
