I think most 'good' derms are pushed for time including Dr Ho however, I feel that she will adequately answer your concerns and give you her recommodations for what you are seeing her for.
Somewhere on this thread there is a list of about 6 derms recommended with phone numbers, perhaps do a search.
I'm back home for a while and booked to see my derm here. Her waiting list is 3 and a half months....sheeesh!

Tinny Ho has good partners, call her practice Skin Central.

Well, Tinny Ho does not especially want to be known as the beauty dr. I go to her for serious cysts or boils and for a spider bite I had and I would see her if I had something like athletes foot. She is very good and very abrupt and no nonsense.

By the way Pumpkin, how often do you run accross competent staff anywhere in HK?

It's interesting, every one of my gp's is also now doing dermatology lines as well. Even my local gp.
Skincare is a sign of the times.

pumpkin, were you able to find someone who doesnt sell face cream? I need one too, I dont mind he/she sell me medicine for it, but I dont want when they ask me to buy a whole set of face cream, soap, toning, etc...etc...I tried that once and I dont like it.
I really need a good dermatologist but reasonable price as well. Please let me know if you have one.

Hmmm I was more referring to dr's using serums and creams to help us avoid skin cancer than I was thinking abt "beauty" when I made the comment it's a sign of the times.
Acne has also never been more under control now that gp's and dermatologists are stocking numerous helpful skin products.

Sorry, Pumpkin
Could you also give me the contact details of your recommended dermatologist, please.
My torso has broken out in blotches, and I need to see a dermatologist in the next few days.
Thanks in advance.

Went to see Dr Ho a month ago and was pretty good even though I had to wait for an hour. She suggested some kind of laser treatment for my sun damage skin on my face. The reason why I have yet made another appt she mentioned after the treatment the skin will become scabby and will need a week to recover and may need to take take off work - which I cant afford to do as most don't have many hols. Just wondering if anyone who have had this treatment and are willing to share their experience.

I would recommend Dr. Chiu Sin Chak (not sure how to spell his name) in Tak Shing Building. He is old school - about 70 years old. He only works in the mornings - just drop by any morning. He is excellent - I think he is one of the best doctors I have ever come across. If you want his name and no - send me a PM.
