Hi, I have a Filipino friend, once a DH (driver) in HK, he used his real name, real passport in his DH contract. Then after 6 years he decided not to work as a DH again, but he went back to HK again as a tourist, get a China visa and he used to exit-enter, hongkong-shenzhen. And do some business, selling goods to DHs in Central. And after 3months he got caught in the border while entering Hongkong, goods (imitated bags)were confiscated in his suit case. Then he got DOB (denial on board). He went back to Philippines. After a couple of months he returned to HK as a tourist again BUT using Mario in his passport, not his real name. Same procedure he did enter-exit in Hongkong and Shenzhen. After 1month he got caught in the border again and the immigration officer did discover that he's been using two different passport and he got DOB. My questions are, can he go back here in HK again as a tourist if he will use his real passport with his real name? What if someone will hire him as a driver again? is there no hassles processing his papers and to sign contract as a driver? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

I would suggest that if he uses his proper name/passport then he will be denied entry to HK. Passport fraud is a serious offence and he has committed same. You reap what you sow in this world and he cannot expect to be allowed into HK after what he has done. I would expect the same treatment if I did the same in PH.

Thanks for the reply TC.

Will he be denied even he will enter HK as a tourist? how about if he will enter to HK but have a DH(driver) visa? lets say if someone will hire him, will the immigration allow him to work again in HK?

I think he would be barred from entering HK - period. But if he tries a third passport they might not even notice!

If he has had a work visa here for 6 years I would assume he has a HK ID card and Immigration would have a copy of his thumbprint on file. If he tries to enter HK and apply for another work visa his record will show that he has been denied entry before and he will be refused his visa/entry right.

If Immigration or Customs has caught him twice and someone recognised the fact that he has been using two passports all this information should be on his file.

I think he has burnt his bridges as they say.
