I think they are much the same every where - aside for the "lookalikes" in the Wanchai market.

I got my kids the Disney crocs at Gigasport last weekend and got 10% off using my HSBC credit card.

Thanks! If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for them 2littlemonsters? I think I might head there this weekend. @@ I nearly bought some lookalikes today but the quality was so bad.

Original price for Disney crocs is HK$238 and I paid $214.20 after discount. The original crocs costs around HK$199.

Thanks 2 littlemonsters. Do you still get the 10% discount off the original ones too?

I think it's 10% off all purchases if paid by HSBC card but you need to double check. I didn't know they were offering discount to HSBC card holders until I produce my card at the till. Also if you spend HK$600 or over you will become a VIP member of Gigasports with a 15% discount (or 20% -I can't remember).

I went to the TKO Po Lam branch. I only know they have branches at Tai Koo Shing Cityplaza and TST Harbourcity

Gigasports is also in Pacific Place. They are the same as Marathon Sports and their VIP card works in both places.

my son is in love with his crocs as well. He is turning 4 in July and I think toddlers love them because they are soft and light... gives them a lot of freedom to move, run and jump around

good to know toddlers are happy wearing them. There is a shop on the waterfront development in Stanley that sells genuine crocs. Not sure of costs if anyone lives on the southside

Bought some for my friends little girl from Stanley waterfront couple of weeks ago - $199 for plain ones, not too sure how much Disney ones are - quite a bit more expensive if I remember correctly.

Haven't been outside the market at STanley for ages - where is the waterfront? Do you mean Murray House or the street with all the restaurants on leading from the market to the plaza??

Thanks

I can say - I just bought a pair for my 3 year old daughter.

she doesn't like them though. She prefers her supportive sandals with adjustable straps from Start Rite (available at Footstop.) too bad those are too small for her, but that is what she'd rather wear. I was really surprised to see her reaction.

When I had my son fitted for school shoes last January he really struggled getting back into supportive shoes - the sales lady said lots of children were having the same problem.

We now just let him wear his crocs for the beach/pool- although I'm not so strict with my daughter becasue they are just so easy!

Be careful with these sandals as there were two recent incidents on the news where kids got their toes caught in escalators because of the holes in front of the sandals. The most recent case which I think happened just 3 weeks ago said that the child's toe/s broke. I can't remember exactly how old the child was though but he was a younger child

I personally don't think they are too good for support but kids just love them. I see most of the kids in my building has them. Even my helper bought a pair of look-alike from the Wanchai market.

Any shoes can get caught in escalators, especially lace ups where the laces are hanging down. I think crocs are great for the beach and pool, my kids love them but don't where them all the time, in fact they're more likely not to wear any shoes.

My daughter seems to LOVE her new croc shoes and she quite happily points out all the other kids who have the same. She enjoys wearing them and it's great for me too because they are easier to slip on.

But each time she approaches an escalator, I carry her.

But I think it's very true, croc shoes are no different to sandals/slippers/any shoes with an opening at the front to expose the toes.

One thing I don't understand though. For croc shoes, the front's fully covered so how do the toes get caught?
