ORIGINAL POST

I need to make a poster with a border. Can anybody please tell me how to do the border on the computer? I know you go into Microsoft Word but that's it. Sorry to be so dumb but I haven't got a clue. Cheers!

You mean how to create a box in a Microsoft word document? Go to INSERT, then TEXT BOX. Hope this helps.

You can use Powerpoint software which has a wide range of poster framework/borders to select.

1.Click "Start", "Powerpoint", "file"

2.To set up the page: Click "page setup", Select "Potrait or Landscape"

3.To select borders selection. Click "Insert ClipArt"

* this icon has a man graphic

On top left, under search text, type "borders"

Click " search"

A range of templates of borders will pop up

Click the one that you like. It will then be exported to the screen

4. Drag the border to fit the size of the slide

5. Save file.

6. You can then insert tables/graphics/text etc to slide.

If you need further assistance, send a PM.

I've made a table (chart, sorry it wasn't a poster) but the problem I have is making it fit so I can print it. How do I shrink it down a bit? The 3 right-hand columns are chopped off in the "print preview". I think I should've taken computer studies instead of geography at school!!!
