Net curtains wire

I'm having some muslin curtains made for a couple of doors and want to hang them using sprung wire that you buy on a roll, cut to size and fix to a couple of 'eyes' on either side. Has anyone seen this wire available anywhere? The curtain shop hasn't heard of it and can only suggest something like those thin poles used for shower curtains, but I'd prefer to use wire if possible. I've started looking around, but no one seems to have heard of this wire, which I used to use in the UK.

Thanks.

Don't know recently, but bought some about 2 years ago in Fa Yuen street in Prince Edward.

there is a rail in japan home center or similar that is expandable and has rubber stops at the end (so that it stays in place from the frame of the door). there is no need for eyes or wires, and the best thing is that there is no need to drill holes.

When I was looking for some I rang my Mum in UK to get me some and post it over. It took 5 days to arrive but certainly saved SO SO MUCH time rather than sourcing it over here.

Thanks to you all above! I ended up going into Central today so I took a look in the lanes (well, the bit that hadn't sunk) and found exactly what I was after in a curtain material shop there. Lightweight skinny, white sprung wire coated in plastic, that you cut to size. Cost the princely sum of $15, including fixtures.
