Experts will certainly jump in, but I had your identical situation (throwing in some gold teeth for good measure!) and went round to the different shops in Wanchai. It's not so easy. They inspect each item, looking for recognised "9999" or similar hallmarks. Older items with just "99" or "999" didn't qualify. On others, they had a little chemical test they applied, and they warned me in advance it would discolour the items. Well, after all that I wound up selling about half of it and was stuck with the rest. The buying and selling prices are posted, but I had no idea how they were doing the calculations. Bottom line: I will watch for other answers here too, as I would like to know what I should have done differently.
