size 41 comfy but stylish heels

Any shops around where I can get a few pairs? I would normally fit in a size 40 open-toed sandal, but mules and pumps, need a 41.

Found a couple of largish size 40s but walking in them for more than 15 minutes will kill me. I tried Nine West, and other usual suspects (Pedder, Millies, etc) but no luck.

Help!

Marks and Sparks go to size 42. The shop on the Kowloon side inside the star ferry also has larger sizes. I saw some lovely heels in Shenzen a few days ago, in the Lo Wo Commercial City, but they weren't quite size 42, might fit 41. There's also a shoe store directly across from the Cricket Club in Causeway Bay, called Noveen or something very much like that, and they have larger sizes in very stylish shoes, and also can make shoes for you. Failing that, there are always cardboard boxes you can tie around your feet.

rachael is right ! I always forget abt that Star Ferry shop but it is great. I am approx a 31 and they have tons of my size.

The lady said it's because they cater to flight attendants and they often need western sizes.

Have a look.

Rachael--

Haha, the cardboard suggestion is great while the weather is still warm and (un)sunny). When the rains come, I would need them laminated :)

Will check out the shop in Star Ferry. M&S styles are so sober. Bought a few pairs of flats in Lo Wu in size 42; the 41s don't fit unfortunately.

Any more suggestions apart from the cardboard boxes?

The shop mentioned at Star Ferry also has a branch at Stanley Market. They have up to 42 in quite a variety of styles and colours.

The shoe shops opposite the CCC in Happy Valley are meant to make shoes to order. Apparently you can have them made in the styles they sell. Quite a range too...

Oh, bad news, I only know where you can get size 42 boxes! Love the laminating idea! I am supposed to get a pair of heels from Noveen next week and I will let you know how that came out, but it was NOT CHEAP...sigh.

The Lane Crawford warehouse at Ap Lei Chau has some great styles to size 41. Some are $200 HK!

MrsC it is so dissappointing whenever I go to Lane Crawford in Pacific Place, they always say no to 40/41's.

And doncha just hate it when you ask for a 41, they take out several pairs and make you try them on knowing they're a size 39. Grrrr....I feel like Cinderella's ugly step-sister when I do try them on and my foot won't even make it to the tip..

anne, I used to get my hopes up when a sales girl would arrive with a stack of boxes for me, only to find they were 38 1/2 or 39's. never 40/41 that I asked for. Now I just tell them not to bring me anything but the size I ask for.

It is more work for them, why try to push the wrong sizes?

I have the same exact experience...And when they see that you foot is in, never mind that they're literally popping out, they will say "oooh they fit well and look good".

I'm a size 41 and long ago gave up trying to find pretty, stylish footwear -- even in Europe, as the front of my foot is very wide and just can't fit into anything remotely tapered in the toes. I often thought of trying the shops that cater to transvestites.

In Germany you can get larger sizes (wide) but it's sure a hellava ways to go for shoes.

Probably the shops that cater to transvestites cater to small, Asian transvestites with tiny feet.

Where ARE those shops, anyway? : )

Prestige ( they have a branch in World Wide house 1/f) There are many to chose from and normally has size 40. They will make one for you for an additonal $40-100. Not bad considering you could have one made with this style but with the heels from another style. Price range from $399- up and will take 3 days to make.

Aulelei, Hi.

It is in 19 Des Voeux Road Central .

**And just for an added info..on the same floor is cobbler ( on the first floor INSIDE as there is one just outside by the main entrance coming from Connaught road )that I refer to as my shoe saviour. Too tight, too loose - he'll do it ( sometimes as you wait) for half the price than what others would charge but with better result. If you are not happy with it, he'll do it again for no extra charge.

There's a shoe shop in Macau in the winding alleys near the church facade that appears to cater to Russian prostitutes - it has large size high heeled shoes - and they're not all tacky!

Still a trip from HK but closer than Germany
