American Investing on London AIM

ORIGINAL POST

Hi

I am an American. I hold stocks in a company that is now listing on London AIM.

I can't find any brokerage who can assist me in selling the shares.

DBS Vickers - AIM only for non Americans

Phillips Securities (POEM) - AIM only for non Americans

eTrade - does not service AIM

Scottrade - does not service AIM

Schwab - waiting until they open in USA to call them

Does anyone know which American Online Brokerages can do this?

I have even called the LSE in HK and they couldn't advise either. And it is not on their website.

Thanks

You might be able to transfer the shares to a non-US national with a suitable brokerage account, and have them do the trade for you. Or maybe the company's sponsoring broker can help you out. Otherwise you're probably stuffed.

ugh

:( can't transfer them at this point - already asked.

Company is not providing any assistance to the shareholders, as they want people to BUY not sell...

I have even called AIM and talked to them, and they are going to call me back as they didn't know either...
