I would like to find out if all babies follow the same immunization schedule???
Do a baby require an injection at the age of 3months???
According to the card given by the hospital, immunization takes place at newborn, 1month, 2month, 4 month and 6 months. However, my paed said that there is an immunization injection on the 3rd month.

It can be quite confusing with different doctors advocating different schedules.
All infants in HK should –as a minimum- follow the Department of Health schedule.
Most paediatricians and private clinics (including the Matilda ) will advocate further vaccinations to include Pneumococcal vaccine, Haemophilus type B vaccine (HIB), Varicella (Chickenpox) and Rotavirus.
The Matilda schedule is as follows and incorporates the above. Occasionally vaccinations are given in quicker succession, or a ‘catch-up’ is organized such as in rotavirus vaccination and a three month vaccination may be due.
