Hi,
My son is 3 and half yrs old. He has been going to Kindi since last Jan'06, he is active, playful like any other kid,he does a lot of talking at home, but the moment he's out of the house he just wouldn't talk, even with his friends, when I take him to school and when he enters his class he would begin to slouch, feel shy etc, and go and sit, he would do all the activities but wouldn't talk.At times some friends have bullied him, also hit him but he wouldn't retaliate, just stand quitely. If he wants to communicate with his friends, he would tell me to do it.He's the opposite at home.Is there any way in which I can bbuild his confidence? I'm a little worried.

How about arranging a few one on one playdates with the children he likes. Perhaps if he builds up friendships at home where he feels more confident it will spill over in the class room.
